The Society of St. Vincent de Paul strives to provide for basic necessities. For over 50 years, our Thrift Store has furnished low cost clothing, household goods, and other merchandise to the poor.
Annually, more than 3,000 low-income people purchase goods at very minimal cost. These are items that are important to daily living that they would otherwise have to do without.
We are very different from other thrift stores, even those operated by non-profit charities. The merchandise offered by our store is sold at extremely discounted prices so customers have the dignity of purchasing what they need.
The store offers all types of merchandise including clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, household items and new beds.
Clothing and other merchandise are constantly changing because of the generous donations flowing from Illinois communities. This provides good quality clothing at low cost for those in need. An inventory of school uniforms is also available.
